My How to Video(:

I did my video on How to Restring a Violin. It was a fun project and it took many takes takes. On the very first take, the recorder fell onto the ground, but it didn't break, thank goodness! My sister and I died of laughter when this happened, instead of being concerned for the camera. It was a very enjoyable experience, but the editing took forever! If I have the chance, I would make another one though! Here check it out:

I hope you enjoyed it!(:

Review on How to Videos

Our next project will be doing in my Photo Class is making a How to Video. So, of course, we are researching others to get an idea for ours.
Here's one I researched for How to Make a French Hair Twist:
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-french-twist-hair-2?sourcelink=verticalrecommendation

I thought she did a very fine job explaining how to do a French Twist and she spoke clearly so it was easy to understand.  I liked how she had side notes pop up at the bottom of the screen explaining what she was doing. Her camera angles were great as well. The only criticism I have is that she should have shown more of how to put the bobby pins in and how to finish off the French Twist.  I thought it ended rather abruptly!

I also researched How to Set a volleyball:
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-set-a-volleyball

They did a very good job demonstrating how to set a volleyball.  The angles were good, camera wise and speaker spoke very clear. The only thing that I really have to criticise on was that the picture was a little blurry and it was really bright out when they made the video. I think to make the video great, would be if they included the wrong way of setting to show viewers the contrast.

Finally I researched How to Sing: The Basics
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-sing-the-basics

She did an excellent job on showing the basics for singing. She included all important parts and spoke clearly! I throughly enjoyed how she showed the right way vs. the wrong way to show watchers something to contrast with. She did a very well job and I have nothing to criticise!

My opinion on Julie & Julia

The movie, Julie & Julia was a wonderful movie! I loved it! It is a very inspirational, feel-good movie and it definitely made me hungry! Julia Child is such an inspiration with all the hard work she did. The acting was great, Meryl Streep did a phenomenal job portraying Julia Child and it was very enjoyable to watch! This movie is definitely up there for being one my favorites and I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
I would recommend this to anyone I know because it was so good! Just make sure you eat before hand, or else the movie will just make you more hungry!

Career Lesson's from Julie & Julia

#1 How are the concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the movie Julie & Julia?

Julie in the movie Julie and Julia is writing blog about cooking her way through Julia Child's cookbook and this reflects the concepts that we are learning about starting a blog to share our thoughts and our works.

#2 Pick one of the following career lesson we can learn from Julia and reflect/respond on how you can use this is your own life.
I lesson I learned from Julia in the movie was that doing anything well involves a LOT of hard work. Julia worked hard to become the best she could be. In the movie, she worked hard to become better than all the men in her cooking school or being determined to learn French. I always try to do things to the best of my ability and it is my belief that if you give anything less than your best at something, you are sacrificing the gift you possess. I think that this mindset could get anyone far in life. Employers look for those who work hard. Hard work always pays off and you are rewarded for it. I hope to work hard in life and hopefully it will pay off.

About Me

What are my interests, hobbies, and or passions?
I have many interests. I love life and I am always open to trying new things and usually I enjoy them. I love playing volleyball. I have been playing since 3rd grade. I also love running and I do track and field. Along with volleyball and track, I also enjoy photography. I have never been good at drawing, so I take pictures of art instead. I also love writing and reading. Out of these interests, my biggest passion is music. I have grown up in a very musical family since my dad owns a music shop. Everyone in my family plays or is involved with music in some ways. My brother and sister are both majoring in music. From before I can even remember, I have always had a passion for singing. My parents even had to enforce a rule that I could only sing in my room, since I was always singing, even if it wasn't at the most ideal times. I also play viola and I am learning guitar and piano. I plan on continuing with music and its something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Do I think I will have my whole life figured out by age 30? Why or why not?
People change. Its a way of life. So no, I don't think I will ever have my life figured out since my interests are always changing. Just within this past year, I have found my interests have changed so much. It takes some people their entire lives to figure out what they want to do, or what their passions are. By age 30,  I may not have my life figured out, but I sure hope I will be on my way to finding out!

Stop Motion Video

Also for my Photo class we made stop motion Videos. My video was about a girl who had a dream where she met a guy and fell in love but then she wakes up and realizes it only just a dream. After a lot of work and 400 photos here is the finished product:

My Photo Project

So, for this photography class I am in, we were assigned a project. For this project, we are supposed to work in the manner of a famous photographer. I chose to work in the manner of Jerry Uelsmann. I chose him because of how interesting his work is. I like art that makes one think and find a deeper meaning, and his work is like that. Jerry is also one of those artists that makes one think "Wow,  I wonder how he did that"!  His photography is not just the typical pictures of nature. It is unique in the fact that he combines two or more photos together to create a masterpiece. Check it out: http://www.uelsmann.net/#

For my project, I plan on going along with the whole black and white scheme Jerry has going on. I really liked how he uses hands in a lot of his work so I plan on using hands in mine.  I will eventually use Photoshop to incorporate other images that lead to a deeper meaning.  I can only hope that my photos will be half as interesting as Jerry Uelsmann's photos are.
